What we offer are float trips through the beautiful Tippecanoe River State Park ! We are located only a few minutes from the State Park or Broken Arrow Campground where family camping is available. See additional links on the left for more camping information.
We supply you with Canoe, Kayak, or Tube, paddles, life vest and transportation up stream to the starting point of your trip. That way you float back to your car with no time limit on your trip. We want you to enjoy the river and State Park as much as possible. It is some of the last unspoiled areas of the river.
You will have opportunities to see several species of animals and birds, wild turkey, ducks, geese, deer, blue heron, beaver. Some of which are endangered or highly protected species ! Such as the pileated woodpecker, or river otters !
You rent the canoe, kayak, or tube for the trip, average time is 3.5 hours for either short trip (7 miles of river) , 6.5 hours for the long trip (14 miles of river) in canoes. Bring a picnic lunch, stop at the State Park picnic area or an island for lunch. There is no time limit on your trip. You must however be back at Tippy-Canoe Rentals by dusk. Tubes take much longer to float, so we put in at other areas for a 3-4 hour trip.
The short trips are $35.00 per canoe, two paddlers and a small child or family pet is considered the limit per canoe. Single person Kayaks are $25.00 for the short trip. Tubes are $10 each.
The longer trip is $45.00 per canoe with the same capacity. Single person Kayaks are $35.00 for the long trip.
We rent canoes to campers for camping at the State Park Canoe Camp if you don't have one, plus we will shuttle you back after floating !
We are located 1.7 miles south of the Park entrance on 250 north. (Airport road), 2 miles east off Hwy 35, North of Winamac.
Winamac, Indiana is around 2 hours south and east of the Chicagoland area off Hwy 30, onto Hwy 35 south 20 minutes, or about 2 hours due north of the Indianapolis area, or 2 hours south and west of the Ft. Wayne area !
